Shelter Island Shoreline Park (San Diego) – City Park

South of Shelter Island Drive
San Diego, CA 92106

Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

San Diego’s Shoreline Park is a quiet and relatively uncrowded mile-long bayfront park on Shelter Island that is home to a public fishing pier, boat launch ramps, bonfire pits, and stunning views of the downtown San Diego skyline and Coronado. Sit on a (shadeless) bench and savor the view, the boats, and the accents of public art scattered throughout the park. Stroll or pedal along the promenade so you don’t miss a thing. This is a perfect place for a nighttime walk or a toasty bonfire. Parking ease depends on when you arrive…early or late is best. The bathrooms are doorless, but decent.
