Whether you’re a baseball fan or not, Petco Park’s “Park at the Park” is a killer triple play… amazing location, awesome views, and unique setting. This East Village park is open [and free] to the public when the stadium isn’t in use. On game days, you can plop here for a mere $5 per person starting 2-1/2 hours before the game begins. There’s a ton of cool places in the hood… happening bars, hip restaurants, and some great shops. The views make this among the best places in San Diego for a picnic. Don’t forget a ball and your mitts to play a game of mini-baseball on the kid-size diamond. Be warned…there are no restrooms.
